The following remarks were given by Mike Sutherland from Peguis First Nation at the Keeyask Generation Project Public Hearings.
“Water. Water is the life blood of Mother Earth. The water is like blood in our arteries and veins. As we protect—as we are protective of our blood and protective of our water from pollution. Failure to protect the life blood of Mother Earth is a breach of our sacred duty to protect the environment and Mother Earth.” – Mike Sutherland, Peguis First Nation
