The following remarks were given by Robert Wavey from Fox Lake Cree Nation at the Wuskwatim Power Generation and Transmission Project Public Hearing.
“It is difficult to talk about the atrocities and degradation thrust upon the Fox Lake people. It brings back memories of the losses and damages, the pain and grief that the Fox Lake people endured. Our community was taken away from us and redeveloped the needs of the Hydro workforce.” – Robert Wavey, Fox Lake Cree Nation
