The following remarks were given by Marie Henderson from Fox Lake Cree Nation at the Manitoba CEC Regional Cumulative Effects Assessment Community Meeting: Fox Lake Cree Nation.
“There’s a lot of things that have happened. Sometimes it is hard to talk about things that have happened because sometimes I just don’t want to think about it, because it’s too painful. I’ve seen a lot of violence. We’ve buried a lot of people. We buried a lot of people over the years because of the things that happened.” – Marie Henderson, Fox Lake Cree Nation
